5 Workouts to Get Back in the Flow

You worked hard all spring to get that bikini body, and spent the summer soaking up the sun and feeling like your best self. Whatever your lifelong fitness goals are, it’s always nice to take a break and just enjoy life for a bit. But for many people, autumn is a great time to get back in the flow. Cooler weather brings runners back to the park, and fewer social functions mean there’s more time to hit the gym. You probably know all of the basic workouts, so here are a few ideas on ways to exercise that you might not have considered before!

Acro Yoga: Drop in on any Acro class and you’ll quickly learn why it stands for “acrobat.” Acro focuses on partnership poses, which use balance to reach impressive heights and truly intriguing positions. You’d be amazed at what you can accomplish with just a little support!

Rollerblading: This timeless sport is now regaininf popularity as it was recently re-popularized by The Barbie Movie. Rollerblading is a great way to get in some cardio while also getting around – have wheels, will travel! Bonus points for colorful skates, and neon kneepads to match!

Kickboxing: Equal parts strength training and cardio, kickboxers also often report a great sense of emotional release when practicing. If you want to sink into the most powerful version of yourself, this is a great way to do it.

Dance Classes: Although Pure Barre has been the reigning queen of dance classes as of late, there’s so much to explore within this genre. Hip hop, ecstatic dance, burlesque, and even pole practice are just some of the many options. If you have the drive to dance, you’re bound to find a perfect fit. Plus, the outfits are so cute!

Softball: What could be more autumnal than a bit of the great American pastime? Most cities have recreational leagues, where you can bring together a group of your friends for a weekend game or even a tournament. No prior experience necessary, if everyone’s willing to be a good sport!
