Summer Skin Care

Summer is a time to sweat and get tan but these can sometimes clog your pores. To have radiant skin in the summer one must make sure to have a great skin care routine and stick to it!

To begin, always wash your face with a cleanser suitable for your skin. Whether you have sensitive, oily or acne prone skin there is a cleanser for everyone. It is important to wash your face every morning and night especially if you wear make-up. Sleeping with makeup a single night ages your skin to the equivalent of three days older. So never ever sleep with makeup if you can avoid it. After you wash your face it is essential to tone your skin with an appropriate toner for your skin. Washing your face with a cleanser won’t remove all the impurities therefore it is important to gently tone your face with a cotton pad. You will be surprised to see all the dirt that is still on your face.

The most important part of your skincare routine aside from washing your face should be to wear sunscreen. Direct sun exposure can cause wrinkles and premature aging. So it’s important to wear sunscreen every single day.

Lastly, use a clay mask once a week to detox and clean up all your pores. In contrast to the winter, skin in the summer tends to be oily for most people, but that doesn’t mean you shouldn’t moisturize. Remember to always moisturize your skin after you wash and tone it. It will keep your skin smooth and youthful.
